The 8mm COB LED Tape Static CCT 480 Free Cut is designed for architectural installs where the quality of the light line matters as much as the detail it sits in. COB construction spreads phosphor evenly across the strip, and at 480 LEDs per meter it eliminates visible diode dotting, even in shallow profiles. What you get is a true continuous line of light that reads clean through diffusers or directly in indirect applications.
At 8mm wide and roughly 1.8mm thin, this tape fits most standard slim aluminum channels while still being narrow enough for tight details. The 180° beam helps the strip fill the channel evenly, avoiding hot spots and giving you a smoother wash on surfaces.
Color quality is not an afterthought here. With CRI 90 and tight color consistency (SDCM within 3 steps and one-bin selection), materials look natural and consistent across a run. Static CCT options keep the Kelvin locked in once selected, which is what you want in most spec layouts.
The standout practical feature is free-cut capability. Instead of cutting only at marked intervals, you can trim to the exact length you need in the field. That makes layout cleaner, reduces waste, and lets you hit perfect symmetry on both sides of a detail.
